What a Private Bordeaux Wine Tasting Tour Is

Bordeaux rewards knowing which bank to choose, which estate opens its doors, and how the arrival and the day fit together. We plan the journey from Paris, meet you on the ground, reserve the tastings and drive the vineyards, so the day belongs to the wine and the châteaux rather than the map.

What this is

A tailor-made, chauffeur-driven private tour of Monet's gardens at Giverny from Paris, in Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover vehicles, with reserved access and the day handled for you.

What you get

To be met on arrival by train or jet, tastings booked at the estates you choose across both banks, a chauffeur between the châteaux, lunch arranged in the region, and one point of contact.

What to do next

Send your dates and party size, and receive a structured itinerary with the banks to visit, the estates and the arrival handled, with advice on a day or an overnight, usually within the working day.

Why you can trust it

Founded in 2009, 25,000+ missions, 98.9% on-time, Transport Licence No. EVTC075180190, issued by the French Ministry of Transport, rated 4.8/5 across 65+ verified reviews.

Built for Guests Who Want the Gardens, Not the Groundwork

A rewarding day at Giverny is quiet work behind the scenes: a timed entry secured, the drive timed against the season and the crowds, a guide briefed, a chauffeur who knows the village and where to wait. Our role is to carry all of it, so the guest simply arrives and looks. We partner most closely with four profiles.

Five-Star Hotels & Concierges

A brand-aligned partner for a signature day in Normandy, with multilingual chauffeurs, last-minute availability and reserved access to the Fondation Claude Monet arranged discreetly, so the concierge offers Giverny without the queue and keeps one dependable contact.

Family Offices & Private Clients

Discreet, personalised days for families, guests and principals, with driver continuity, a pace set by the visitor and confidentiality held as a matter of course, whether for a quiet morning in the gardens or a full day through the Seine valley.

Destination Management Companies

A reliable ground partner for bespoke Giverny programmes and VIP itineraries, with consistent standards, timed-entry coordination and white-label discretion that reduce your operational risk on a signature Impressionist excursion.

Executive Assistants & Partner Programmes

A Giverny day arranged around a business trip or an accompanying-guest programme, booked once and confirmed quickly, with proactive updates and a chauffeur who fits the excursion around the diary.

The Bordeaux Wine Country, Curated Around You

From the Cabernet of the Médoc to the limestone cellars of Saint-Émilion, every part of Bordeaux below is chauffeur-driven, with tastings reserved in advance. The vineyards spread along both banks of the Garonne and the Gironde, and the great classifications, the 1855 growths of the Left Bank and the classed estates of Saint-Émilion, order a region that has shipped its wine across the world for centuries. Beyond it, see our private tours and day trips from Paris.

The Médoc & the Left Bank

The great Cabernet appellations north of the city, Margaux, Saint-Julien, Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe, and the estates of the 1855 classification. Reserved tastings among the gravel terraces that made Bordeaux's name.

Saint-Émilion & the Right Bank

The medieval village of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO site, its monolithic church carved into the rock, and the Merlot of the Right Bank, from the classed estates of Saint-Émilion to the small, sought-after growths of Pomerol.

Pessac-Léognan & Sauternes

The reds and whites of Pessac-Léognan on the edge of the city, and, to the south, the golden sweet wines of Sauternes and Barsac, born of the autumn mists of the Ciron. A quieter, rewarding day.

The City & the Port of the Moon

Bordeaux itself, a UNESCO World Heritage city, from the Place de la Bourse mirrored in the Miroir d'Eau to the Cité du Vin, the Grand Théâtre and the quays of the Garonne. A cultural morning before the vines.

Arrival, Handled

Met at Bordeaux Saint-Jean off the TGV, or planeside at Bordeaux-Mérignac, with the ground and the air coordinated. See our private aviation chauffeur service for jet arrivals.

A Table & an Overnight

A gastronomic lunch paired with the day, and, for those who wish to see both banks without a rush, an overnight in Bordeaux or Saint-Émilion. We plan the order, and the chauffeur handles every move.

The Expertise a Region Like Bordeaux Asks For

Bordeaux rewards knowing which bank to choose, which estate opens its doors, and how the arrival and the day fit together. We plan the journey from Paris, meet you on the ground, reserve the tastings and drive the vineyards, so the day belongs to the wine and the châteaux rather than the map.

The Journey Handled, Paris to the Vines

The TGV or the jet arranged, the arrival met at the station or the FBO, so a region far from Paris is reached in comfort and the day begins the moment you step off.

Reserved Tastings, Both Banks

Visits booked in advance at estates that receive by appointment, across the Médoc, Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, Pessac-Léognan and Sauternes, with honest advice on what your dates allow.

Free to Taste, the Chauffeur Drives

Every guest tastes at every estate, with no designated driver among you and the return to your hotel handled however late the day runs.

Purchases Carried or Shipped

The cases you buy travel in the car, kept cool, and for larger purchases or en primeur allocations we coordinate shipping from the château.

Discretion for Collectors

Names, allocations and conversations stay private. NDAs are signed on request, which matters for a private cellar or an en primeur purchase.

One Contact, Around the Clock

A single operations contact for the whole day and a 24/7 desk with a response time under 15 minutes for any change along the way.

One Standard of Comfort, Across Both Banks

A fleet of 25-plus vehicles, kept immaculate and renewed regularly. We match the vehicle to your party, so the day between the estates and the return, with your cases aboard, are a moment of rest. Fares are confirmed in advance against your itinerary.

How DBS EXPERIENCE Works in Real Life

A Concierge Arranging a Right Bank Day

A palace concierge plans a day on the Right Bank for two guests arriving by TGV. We meet them at Bordeaux Saint-Jean, reserve a tasting at a classed Saint-Émilion estate and a small Pomerol grower, arrange lunch in the village, and provide an S-Class with the chauffeur between the châteaux and a return timed to the train, confirmed the day before.

A Family Office and an En Primeur Visit

A family office requests a discreet day for a collector during the en primeur season. We plan private cellar visits across the Médoc, coordinate the shipping of an allocation, and provide a V-Class and a bilingual chauffeur, with one contact and an NDA in place throughout.

A Private Jet Arrival at Mérignac

Guests fly into Bordeaux-Mérignac for a day in the vineyards. We coordinate the planeside pickup with the flight, brief a chauffeur for the Médoc and a table at a château, and time the return to the aircraft, arranged with our private aviation desk from a single point of contact.

Why Travellers Choose DBS EXPERIENCE

DBS EXPERIENCE is a Paris-based private chauffeur service founded in 2009, providing tailor-made, chauffeur-driven wine tours of Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion, from the Médoc and the Left Bank to Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, Pessac-Léognan and Sauternes, with guests met on arrival by TGV or private jet and every guest free to taste. From its base at 320 rue Saint-Honoré, it runs 25-plus vehicles and 30-plus bilingual chauffeurs, 24/7, with 98.9% punctuality over 25,000-plus missions.

  • The journey handled. The TGV or the jet arranged and the arrival met, so a region far from Paris is reached in comfort.

  • A fleet of 25-plus vehicles. Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover, immaculately kept and matched to your party.

  • Every guest free to taste. Because your chauffeur drives, no one in your party is a designated driver, and purchases are carried or shipped.

  • Duty of care and full cover. Transport Licence No. EVTC075180190, issued by the French Ministry of Transport, with comprehensive passenger insurance.

  • Confidentiality as standard. NDAs signed on request, with chauffeurs held to a confidentiality standard for every visit.

  • One contact, around the clock. A single operations contact and a 24/7 desk with a response time under 45 minutes.

Met off the train, both banks in two days, tastings we could not have booked ourselves, and the cases shipped home before we had left the château.

Five-Star Hotel Concierge · Paris

Bordeaux Wine Tasting Chauffeur Tours

Bordeaux is a long way from Paris. How do we get there, and do you meet us on arrival?

Bordeaux is about 580 kilometres from Paris, so we do not recommend a road transfer for the day. The TGV reaches Bordeaux Saint-Jean from Paris-Montparnasse in a little over two hours, and private jets land at Bordeaux-Mérignac. Your chauffeur meets you on arrival at the station or planeside at the FBO, and the wine country is yours from there. We coordinate the whole journey, and for jet arrivals we work with our private aviation desk so the ground and the air are handled as one.

Can you arrange tastings at classified estates on both the Left Bank and the Right Bank?

Yes, within what the estates allow. Bordeaux's finest châteaux receive by appointment, and access to the classified growths depends on the season and the introduction. We arrange reserved tastings and cellar visits across the Médoc and the Left Bank, Saint-Émilion and Pomerol on the Right Bank, Pessac-Léognan and the sweet wines of Sauternes, and we advise honestly on what your dates allow. The day is shaped around the appellations and the styles you most want to taste.

Can everyone taste freely, and how are our purchases handled or shipped?

Yes, and it is the reason to be chauffeured through Bordeaux. Because your chauffeur drives, no one in your party is a designated driver, so every guest tastes at every estate. Any cases you buy travel in the vehicle, kept cool, and return to your hotel, and for larger purchases or en primeur allocations we coordinate shipping with the estates, so nothing is carried and nothing is left to chance.

For a collector buying en primeur or allocations, is the service confidential, and can chauffeurs sign an NDA?

Discretion is the foundation of the service, which matters when a visit involves allocations, en primeur purchases or a private cellar. Names, itineraries and in-car conversations remain confidential, our chauffeurs work to a confidentiality standard as a matter of course, and we sign non-disclosure agreements on request. For a family office or a principal, we follow your protocols and keep the day entirely private.

Do you offer electric or hybrid vehicles for a day among the vineyards?

Yes. Hybrid and electric options are available on request within our fleet of 25-plus vehicles, where the itinerary allows, so a day between the Left Bank, the Right Bank and the city can be made with a lighter footprint while keeping an executive standard throughout.
